Quite simply the best in the business. We begin with premium quality, alloy steel that is forged in Moser Engineering designed tooling, induction heat treated to optimize torsional strength, and then 100% magnafluxed.

This process not only gives the axle the strength of a "race only" axle but makes it ideal for street use as well. The axles are designed and engineered to withstand the stress and strain of both racing and high performance street use.

Our axles are available in any spline count and can be made to fit virtually any rearend setup. All popular bearing sizes and bolt pattern combinations are available.

If your future plans call for a narrower rear, Moser Engineering Custom Alloy Axles can be shortened and resplined to fit your needs and bolt pattern changes can also be made.

40 Spline Custom Alloy

Forged and induction heat-treated the same as our custom alloy axles, M/E Custom Alloy 40 Spline axles are the strongest available anywhere. Designed for severe duty service, the axles feature a shaft size of 1.705" and oversized 1.774" bearing seats, and they are also non-tapered so they can be narrowed if needed.

M/E Custom Alloy 40 Spline Axles can be splined to fit any manufacturer's spool, carry a 10 year replacement policy (see our replacement policy details) and are always shipped just 2 working days after the order is placed.

Too Heavy?

Moser Engineering can now gun drill and add lightening holes to any 35 or 40 spline M/E Custom Alloy Axle we sell. This will allow you to obtain the strength of the 35 or 40 spline axle without adding all of the weight that comes with the larger shaft.

Our state-of-the-art center section comes standard with a 9" Ford nodular iron case that is heat treated and stress relieved before any machining is done. Also included, a M/E full spool, U.S. gears (Pro street and competition available), Timken bearings, aluminum pinion supports, 1350 pinion yoke, and professionally set-up and ready to bolt in. Moser Engineering 9" Ford Nodular Iron cases are some of the toughest in the business.

M/E Nodular Iron Cases are available in two bearing sizes. The 3.062" side bearing size is made for posi-traction setups or spools with fewer than 35 splines, and the 3.250" side bearing size is made for use with 35 spline and 40 spline spools.

There are a number of features that make an M/E cases the right cases for you. All M/E cases are heat treated and stress relieved before any machining is done, and all machining is done on CNC equipment. In addition, M/E cases have forged steel caps with 5/8" bolts, machined adjusters, and are tapped for an oil filler plug.

Those of you looking for a durable yet lightweight case, look no further! Our 9" Ford Aluminum Case weighs 15lbs. less than our M/E Iron Nodular Case. This case includes: Thru-bolt design for increased strength, aluminum rear caps, billet steel adjusters, 3/8" and 7/16" threads. Also available in 3.062" and 3.250" bore sizes. Case includes grade 8 main caps bolts, 3/8" or 7/16" pinion studs and nuts, adjuster locks and pilot bearing snap ring.
